About Simone
The MindBody Approach · Bellevue
I’m a Member of the ATNS Coaches Advisory Council (CAC)
Hi, I’m Simone.
I help people recover from chronic pain and other persistent neuroplastic symptoms by retraining the brain and restoring a sense of safety in the body.
I specialize in complex, long-standing symptom presentations, especially for people who have “tried everything” and are still searching for answers. A big part of my work is helping you not only calm your symptoms, but also gently reconnect with ease, play, and joy as real healing inputs for your nervous system.
WHO I WORK WITH
- Adults with Chronic Pain (back, neck, pelvic, limb, abdominal, headaches, migraines, etc.)
- Other persistent Neuroplastic Symptoms (dizziness, nausea, fatigue, anxiety-related symptoms, compulsive patterns, and more)
- People who have lost access to joy, playfulness, and ease
I coach in English and German, both online via Zoom and in person in the Seattle metro area.
MY BACKGROUND
For over 15 years, I worked in neurology-based manual therapy before expanding into neuroplastic symptom recovery coaching.
I am:
- Certified in Advanced Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)
- Trained in Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET)
- A graduate of Dr. Howard Schubiner’s Freedom from Chronic Pain and Beyond Pain Education Practitioner Trainings (with Charlie Merrill, PT, and Dr. Schubiner)
- Trained in life and mindset coaching, Positive Psychology, and other mindbody, mindfulness, NLP, and hypnosis-based approaches
I’m also a mom of two sons who have experienced a wide range of neuroplastic symptoms (crippling abdominal pain, full-body pain, headaches, dizziness, nausea, anxiety, OCD, and more). With them, I’ve walked the path through medications, procedures, hospitalizations, pain clinics, and CBT, and I deeply understand both the exhaustion and the hope that come with this journey.
Discovering PRT and the Boulder Back Pain Study was a turning point for me. The idea of treating pain by retraining the brain made immediate, profound sense, and I’ve devoted my work to treating mindbody conditions and the neuroplastic “pain brain” ever since.
HOW I HELP YOU RECOVER
Your Toolkit for Reprocessing Symptoms & Cultivating Safety
True healing involves turning down the brain’s overactive alarm system. I will teach you tools that give your nervous system real evidence it is SAFE to stand down.
1. Understand Your Symptom System – Pain & Symptom Education
Where knowledge becomes a stepping stone for healing. Seeing symptoms as a false alarm, not damage, reduces fear and catastrophic thinking. When fear decreases, the threat cycle loses its fuel.
2. Build Somatic & Present-Moment Awareness – Interoception & Mindfulness
This builds interoception and teaches your brain to reframe sensations as safe information, not danger. Your internal alarm system begins to recalibrate.
3. Reduce the Fear of Sensations – Graded Exposure & Reappraisal
Instead of bracing, resisting, or panicking when symptoms arise, you learn to turn toward them with curiosity, using what you’ve learned about the nervous system and neuroplasticity.
4. Expand Emotional Awareness & Expression – Emotional Agility
Unprocessed emotions create physiological tension and can keep the system on high alert. As emotions are acknowledged, allowed, and safely expressed, your nervous system load lightens, and symptoms can ease.
5. Weave in Ease, Joy & Play – Positive Neuroplasticity
Experiences of ease and pleasure are strong signals of safety. They change your brain chemistry and lay down new neural pathways grounded in trust, connection, and possibility. I’ll teach you how to reconnect with this part of yourself.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
No two pain stories are alike, so each coaching program is highly individualized.
Clients often describe me as uplifting, supportive, hopeful, a bit nerdy, and curious.
That curiosity is at the heart of my work: I approach you and your symptoms like a compassionate detective, looking for the unique levers that will help your nervous system shift from threat to safety.
Not everything works for everyone, but together, we will keep exploring until we find what works for you.
- Sessions: Typically 60 minutes
- Frequency: Often weekly to start, spread apart once concepts are established
- Format: Zoom or in-person (Seattle, WA, metro area)

OTHER THINGS I OFFER:
GLIMMER: A 5-WEEK COURSE FOR NERVOUS SYSTEMS STUCK IN SURVIVAL MODE
One-time payment: $67 (lifetime access)
Is your brain working overtime? Scanning. Bracing. Predicting the worst.
Nervous system safety matters. And it is a trainable skill.
Research shows that about 39% of people with chronic symptoms or chronic stress experience a pattern called catastrophizing. The brain learns to constantly scan for threats, amplify symptoms, and stay on high alert. That is not a character flaw. It is biology.
Most treatment approaches, first and foremost, focus on reducing that threat response — reappraising symptoms, interrupting fear patterns, and calming the nervous system. That is important work.
But there is another side of the equation that almost nobody addresses or teaches: methodically building safety pathways.
That’s what I built the GLIMMER course for.
Over five weeks, GLIMMER systematically trains your attention to notice the safety signals your brain is currently filtering out.
Ten minutes a day. Self-paced.
One-time payment: $67 (lifetime access)
Recovery isn’t just about reducing threat. It’s about teaching your nervous system to register the safety signals that already exist alongside the danger signals.
Whether you’re navigating chronic pain, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, or multiple symptoms, GLIMMER teaches foundational skills that support recovery across many chronic conditions.

mindbodyJOY Community— A space for Daily Joy Practice
The mindbodyJOY community is a private, daily practice space for people ready to gently retrain their nervous system toward greater ease, joy, and aliveness.
Where GLIMMER builds the foundation, mindbodyJOY is where you can keep practicing with other people alongside you.
Each day, a short prompt arrives in your feed. A gentle lens for noticing what is already good in your ordinary (and often challenging) life. Simple enough for a hard day. Meaningful enough to change what your brain reaches for over time.
Consistent attention training toward the good is one of the most underused tools in nervous system recovery. And joy shared is joy multiplied.
Live Community Circles – Life beyond survival mode.
Every other week, a relaxed drop-in space to gather, reflect, and spend a little time together (on Zoom). Each month, we go deep into one transformational theme — meaning and direction, identity beyond your roles, receiving joy without guilt, rebuilding trust with your body, and more.
Membership: $19/month or $147/year.
