Dr. Scott B. Phillips is an actively practicing neurosurgeon and spine surgeon who has integrated modern pain science into the care of both surgical and nonsurgical patients. His approach recognizes that structural pathology and neuroplastic mechanisms are not mutually exclusive, and when surgery is not indicated, he often continues working with patients rather than treating the absence of a surgical target as the end of care. Dr. Phillips has completed certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and incorporates pain-science education and neuroplastic approaches into his practice, including the perioperative care of surgical patients.
