When chronic pain and symptoms don’t have a clear explanation, or a diagnosis doesn’t fully explain what you’re feeling, the next question is what’s driving your symptoms: a structural problem, a nervous system that’s become oversensitized, or some combination of both.

Dr. Kim Fischer helps patients find the answer.

Dr. Fischer is a board-certified anesthesiologist and the founder of Beckon Health, a physician-led telehealth practice specializing in neuroplastic pain and chronic symptom recovery. She treats adults with chronic pain, migraine, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, IBS, Long COVID, POTS, and other conditions driven by a sensitized nervous system.

She brings two kinds of expertise to each patient. As a physician trained at Weill Cornell Medical College and Montefiore Medical Center, she evaluates symptoms with clinical rigor rather than assuming a neuroplastic explanation. As a patient who spent years trying to understand her own pain, she appreciates how hard it is to get an answer and feel heard.

After years spent caring for patients through surgeries that rarely resolved their pain, Dr. Fischer developed chronic pain of her own. Multiple specialists did not have a solution. A physical therapist introduced her to Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and she healed in a way she had not witnessed in over a decade of clinical practice. That recovery led her to train formally in PRT, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

She now practices as a mindbody physician, diagnosing and treating neuroplastic conditions at Lin Health, VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System, and Beckon Health.

At Beckon Health, Dr. Fischer gives patients a clear diagnosis of what’s causing their symptoms and a treatment plan built toward recovery. She sees patients via telehealth in Colorado and Oregon.
