John Stracks, MD, graduated with honors from the University of Chicago Medical School and before that Yale University. He worked for eight years at Northwestern Medicine in downtown Chicago before founding Cormendi Health in 2017. Dr. Stracks is a nationally recognized speaker, host of the acclaimed podcast Hope for Healing, and a sought-after podcast guest, in addition to having appeared in multiple media outlets in the Chicagoland area. He is an expert in many areas of medicine, including thyroid care, menopausal health, and the psychology of chronic disease, and has worked with tens of thousands of patients over his career from every continent, including multiple celebrities, politicians, and professional athletes. He’s studied with world-renowned experts in pain management such as John Sarno, MD, and Howard Schubiner, MD, and he regularly lectures to other physicians on understanding the psychological contributions to physical health. He’s helped thousands of patients heal their thyroid disease, thousands heal from chronic pain and other unexplained medical symptoms, and hundreds of women thrive during their years in menopause. He’s Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms. When not helping patients heal their chronic health issues, Dr. Stracks loves spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their two children, as well as being active in sports, youth coaching, and the betterment of both the local community and the world.
