If you’re struggling with chronic pain or other persistent symptoms that don’t have a clear structural cause, and feel like you’ve tried everything without finding lasting relief, you’re not alone. My practice is dedicated to helping people understand and overcome chronic pain and related conditions using evidence-based psychological approaches grounded in contemporary pain neuroscience.
My approach is based on the understanding that chronic pain is often influenced not only by the body, but also by the way the nervous system processes and responds to signals over time. Pain is a complex experience created by the brain and nervous system, which means that these systems can be retrained to reduce or even eliminate pain.
I have advanced training in both Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), as well as Cognitive-Behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you can learn practical skills, gain a deeper understanding of your pain, and develop a clear path toward recovery. Treatment is always tailored to your unique experience, values, and goals, drawing on the best available scientific evidence alongside your individual circumstances.
With advanced post-doctoral training in health psychology, chronic pain management, and integrated health care, as well as experience leading international initiatives on patient-centred care at the World Health Organization (WHO), I bring both specialized expertise and a compassionate, collaborative approach to helping people reclaim their lives from chronic pain.
Symptoms I commonly help with:
- Chronic or persistent pain, including back, neck, hip, and pelvic pain
- Headaches and migraines
- Fibromyalgia and widespread pain
- Chronic fatigue
- Chronic dizziness or vertigo
- Anxiety-related symptoms
- Insomnia
- Persistent symptoms without a clear structural cause
