About Anne
Living Well Clinic · Isle of Lewis
As a Chronic Pain Therapist and Advanced Pain Reprocessing Therapy Practitioner, I support a wide range of health conditions, focussing on chronic pain and related symptoms and use a holistic, evidence-based approach.
Treatment includes psychoeducation on pain, retraining the brain, coping with thoughts and worries, along with relaxation training and mindfulness techniques. I help clients achieve significant relief and an enhanced quality of life in 8-12 sessions, providing lifelong tools to maintain their progress and recovery through my programme: The Pain Keys®.
I use an integrative approach, combining Pain Reprocessing Therapy with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Clinical Hypnotherapy to significantly reduce or eliminate chronic pain and symptoms. Together we’ll create a personalised treatment plan, based around your goals and preferences.
I am a certified advanced Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) Practitioner with the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center and I have also trained in Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET). I am a member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP), the British Pain Society, and the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms (ATNS) where I am listed in their trusted Practitioner Directory.
I hold a higher diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy which is approved by the British Psychological Society. I have completed further training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), insomnia and sleep issues (CBT-I), and pain coaching. I also hold a diploma in Stress Management and Resilience Building.
I am a Pain Specialist and founding member of the Pain Psychology Centre UK. Alongside my private practice, I am a GHR-acknowledged supervisor and teach on the diploma programme at the Hypno-CBT® College (formerly the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy). I also provide supervision and coaching to therapists and students working with chronic pain.
