About Alexandra
Bloom Health Consulting · Santa Cruz
Alexandra Ross, PA-C, is a Stanford-trained Physician Assistant, former biomedical researcher, and founder of Bloom Health Consulting. After years of living with chronic daily migraine herself, Alex ultimately recovered using the same mind-body and nervous system principles that now inform her work with clients.
Alex specializes in working with high-performing, high-achieving people with chronic pain and persistent physical symptoms. Her clients are often the people who have done everything “right”: they’ve seen the specialists, researched their symptoms, tried the treatments, and somehow continued showing up for their careers, families, and responsibilities through it all. They may appear highly functional from the outside while privately spending an enormous amount of energy managing, anticipating, or trying to solve their symptoms.
Through her signature 3+ month Bloom Program, Alex combines her background in conventional medicine and biomedical research with current research in mind-body medicine, pain neuroscience, and nervous system regulation. Her highly personalized, concierge-level approach adapts the healing process to each client’s individual symptom patterns, nervous system tendencies, and barriers to recovery.
Beyond her individual practice, Alex is passionate about bringing rigorous mind-body medicine and modern pain neuroscience more fully into mainstream medical education so future healthcare providers are better equipped to support patients with chronic pain and poorly understood chronic illnesses. Outside of her work, Alex is a mom, wife, and nurturing friend who can be found most days chasing her toddler around their local beach.
Symptoms Alex commonly helps with include: chronic migraine and headache, dizziness and vertigo, chronic musculoskeletal pain, chronic tendinitis, neuropathic-type pain, gastrointestinal symptoms such as IBS and reflux, pelvic and bladder pain, insomnia, anxiety and depression, and health anxiety. Alex also works with clients living with complex chronic illness, including those with histories of Epstein-Barr virus, mold-related illness, Lyme disease, and many others.
